The whole idea of Women at war is becoming increasingly more attractive to me. (Women in uniform complete with appropriate webbing is another matter)

Glad to know that Lez is so actively collecting, perhaps we could could have a look at the collection..............please

Here's one from post war Berlin, it's in Bodmin military museum

Hi Guys, Lez says thanks for the kind comments. Si asked what the formation sign was for: it is for Northern Ireland District.

A fair bit of her collection has been seen on the forum in the past. Our biggest problem is a lack of space. To give you some idea, here is an old photo of just BD's and SD jackets. Since then she has about doubled the amount of these. Take into the consideration, work clothes, KD's, denims, shirts, etc..... not to mention caps! I have yet to do Lez's "kit room" but like mine it will be a "quart into a pint pot". Her biggest "want" is, like Marcus mentioned, a "Teddy Bear Coat" more correctly known as "Smock, Pile, Anti-Aircraft ATS".

What is the armband for Jim? Is it some kind of RAF Squadron crest shown on it?

Collecting WW2 womens uniforms is really on the up.

              Cheers, Ade & Lez.

Hi Leigh, thanks for that. I know of the organisation but not the insignia.

                      Cheers, Ade.
